A&E timber supplies sources all its hardwood from certified forests in Malaysia and owner Eric Loo knows its top quality because his own mill processes the raw timber, making sure its properly dried and cured before its shipped to his Jandakot Warehouse.

Most of our timber is sourced from state government-owned forests and is certified under international FSC agreements. However it doesn’t carry the FSC badge because buying the certification licence adds 30% to the costs

A&E Supplies has a huge range of beautiful hardwoods to choose from, such as Batu, Kapur, Takalis, Meranti and Ironwood.

They are all dark in hue, with kapur drying to a golden brown, Meranti to a rich red brown most similar to Jarrah, making it ideal for windows and doors and Ironwood very dark brown.

A&E Timber Supplies also sells sub-frame materials, such as treated pine, giving DIY projects a head start.
